It is a platform that helps you to bring your skills to a better level, expand your professional network and improve the skills of your students. Therefore; eBilig spirit is based on mutual understanding and respect.
A. Basic Principles
eBilig users, their activities, activities, messages, posts, project materials and everything published on the eBilig platform must be in line with and in compliance with the following fundamental principles in line with the Core Values and general principles of the European Union.
- Be inclusive. Everyone's thoughts and opinions are always welcomed and allowed to be expressed within the boundaries set out in this Code of Conduct. eBilig users are encouraged to look beyond their own perspectives, to be relevant to different cultures and to show sensitivity when including other users in their activities, projects, groups and networking events, both online and onsite. eBilig promotes understanding, empathy and mutual openness in order to make the community a safe and harassment-free space.
- Be respectful. Members of the eBilig community should be respectful when dealing with their peers and interacting with each other. Respecting other people and their activities on this platform, and assuming that the motivators behind their actions are well-intentioned, makes eBilig users feel not only comfortable and safe, but also motivated and productive. eBilig users may not insult, humiliate or use violence against other members based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation or gender, and/or because they are members of a country, group or minority.
- Be tolerant. Disagreements are inevitable from time to time. Tolerance of the views of others drives the pragmatic approach encouraged in this community. The important thing is to always seek constructive solutions to disagreements and differing opinions within the limits described and defined in this Code of Conduct and to recognise that some situations may lead to a "decision not to participate".
- Be polite and approachable in all forms of communication, especially remote communication where there is a greater likelihood of misunderstanding. Being polite means being aware of other people, respecting their feelings and showing that respect. eBilig, the home of all eBilig users, is an online space where they can express themselves freely, exchange ideas easily, elaborate their ideas and thoughts significantly and treat the ideas and thoughts of other members equally. This means doing our best to carefully select words and content in events, project materials, online and on-site meeting descriptions, publications and messages.

C. "Internet Ethics
eBilig users should conduct their online interactions professionally, politely, and respectfully, as they would in real-life interactions. Below are some examples of what users should and should not do.
Use the internal messaging system carefully and responsibly.
Avoid sending too many messages to teachers you do not work with. Before contacting a user: check his/her profile; see if he/she has indicated that he/she is available to do a project; make sure that your message is relevant. Do not send identical messages to too many users.
Avoid spamming the forums.
Thousands of messages are sent from eBilig Live partner forums. Make sure your message is relevant to the topic of the thread. Before publishing a new post, check for other relevant messages and reply to them. Help us run the forums in a relevant way to improve co-operation!
Only post comments that are relevant and appropriate to other users' messages.
When posting a comment on someone else's profile, make sure that the comment is appropriate for the user. Comments should be for individuals and relevant to the user's message. Do not write the same comment to too many users.
Avoid sending random contact requests and project invitations.
Avoid asking eBilig users to be your contact person or to join your project without prior communication. Make sure you have a reasonable and manageable number of contacts on your list. Do you want to follow other people's updates? Follow them instead.
Tailor the event invitation to the target audience.
Avoid inviting your contacts to events you organise unless you are sure that the colleagues in question will be able to attend. Random invitations to events organised at your school are considered spam.
D. Violation of the Code of Conduct
What can you do if you think an eBilig user is not following the Code of Conduct?
In the Support Community, we do our best to protect people from abuse and spam on eBilig, but as an active and pluralistic community, we rely on you to help us maintain a positive attitude and reduce unwanted incidents. We therefore encourage eBilig users to report such incidents when necessary.
If you encounter posts, activities or comments in the Logs and Forums that you find offensive, infringing or inappropriate, or if you receive a private message or see such content, you can use the "report" button - if possible, you can also contact your Support Service - and share your reasons for reporting. Your message will be handled by the Support Services.
What happens if a user does not respect the Code of Conduct?
Failure to comply with the rules set out in this Code of Conduct constitutes a breach of its terms and may result in the temporary or permanent removal of any posts or materials uploaded by eBilig users at any time without notice. In such cases, the owners of the relevant materials and Support Services will be notified and the reasons for removal will be explained. Users who do not comply with the Code of Conduct may be temporarily or permanently banned from eBilig.
In case of dispute, a final decision will be taken by the European and Turkic World Commission, which is responsible for the operation of eBilig.
